With New York City being one of the most diverse cities in the country, as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Educator, most of my work has centered around counseling, educating, coaching and advocating for individuals from various ethnicities and cultures from around the world. Through years of experience working in Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Outpatient Mental Health Clinics, and Schools, I have been afforded the opportunity to gain a well-rounded understanding of the unique challenges and needs in diverse communities (BIPOC). Whether experiencing difficulties from your children’s behavioral dysregulation, school avoidance, blending families, developing secure attachments, breaking intergenerational cycles, navigating micro and macroagressions, assimilating, feelings of imposter syndrome, breaking glass ceilings, adjusting to normal transitions experienced through life changes, or learning how to identify and manage unaddressed mental health symptoms, the knowledge and expertise required to address your concerns in a holistic and culturally sensitive manner is the cornerstone of my practice.
