• The consultation is an important meeting between therapist and potential client as it sets the tone for the collaborative relationship that would be created and gives the potential client the ability to explore their comfort level and connection with the style of the therapist. Expectations, needs, personal concerns, and treatment approaches are typically explored during the call.

  • Mahogany accepts all United Healthcare commercial plans and employer assistance plans (EAP). We do not accept Unitedhealthcare Community Plans.

Those with insurance plans that are not accepted, have two options, to pay for services out of pocket or use out of network billing.

To assist you with out of network billing, you will be billed for the full rate of the services and we will provide you with a Superbill that must be submitted to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. The Superbill is essentially a medical receipt to show your insurance company what services were rendered, reason for services and amounts paid. Please contact your insurance carrier if you would like to find out if your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits and to learn their reimbursement process.

  • Yes, Mahogany allows a limited number of sliding-scale cases. Fee reductions are assessed based on financial disclosures provided and are re-evaluated every 6 months for renewal.

  • Yes, clients can participate fully in virtual sessions or use a hybrid approach that includes both virtual and in-person sessions.
